Optimism is over-rated!

I believe in miracles, optimism and positive thinking or at least I did up until this past week. The cortisone shot has done nothing! Now they tell me it usually takes a series of 3 shots to solve the problem...thus I shall remain in pain for another 3 weeks till I can have shot #2 and also risk addiction to the pain pills and muscle relaxants. You and I both know that I am an addictive personality. I actually tried not taking the pain pills the day after Shot #1 and well........let me say this......I will not be doing that again any time soon....it was not pretty!

I have spent some of my no-lifting, no-ironing, no-cleaning, no-cooking, no-volunteering time making some collages. I am actually going to try selling one on ebay and see what happens....the red and black one is of course mine, the dacshund one is for a special friend...who may or may not read this before it gets to her and the other one is the one going on ebay. They are made from old book covers and embelllished with fabric, transparencies, vintage paper, lace and buttons along with whatever else seems to call my name....(like that old garter), and then mounted on a 10" frame. Each one I make is an OOAK (one of a kind) original. Let me know what you think.

I don't know how much blogging I will be doing as we are expected lots of company this month. First to arrive will be the DeBoers, highschool friends from Rochester, NY and overlapping their visit will be the Yennies, also high school friends, from Tuxedo, NY. We are excited and looking forward to the good times. Following of their heels are our good friends, the Pearces from Browns, AL and hopefully Rosemary Gleason from Selma.
