Christmas Snafu!!

This blog hates me! This is my final attempt at this post. All creative writing has been zapped by cyber-space for the second time and I am now just here to tell you the short version of this season's non-highlight and to also make excuses for the following facts....presents are not wrapped, some are not bought, many are not sent, cards are not coming, baking is up in the air and I cannot move from this chair! So, with that said, I AM home from the hospital where I found myself at 4AM on Friday morning, having passed out twice and thrown up a gallon of blood! The torture began with the swallowing of the nose hose....this is to be avoided at all costs in the future! NO NOSE HOSE!!! The purpose of this torture was to pump out any remaining blood from my stomach which didn't amount to much. Then they had to get my blood pressure back up and so I received two transfusions....hours later I was officially admitted to the hospital and assigned a room. The same questions were asked of me at least 20 times by as many doctors, nurses, orderlies etc.....until my doctor asked me if I had taken any other blood thinners besides those on my med list. I told him I had taken massive amounts of Aleve for what my heart doctor thought might be arthritis in my wrist.....it was like a light went off in his brain. The scope he then performed proved that I had two ulcers from all the aspirin therapy plus a couple of scratches from the hated nose hose. He cauterized all of these and told me I had to stay in the hospital for 48 hours. Finally my blood tests came back good and they decided to release me. While I should have been thrilled at this point, it was becoming increasingly more difficult to move. When I blacked out and fell on the tiled floor, I injured my back and can hardly move. So, it is with pain pills clutched in my hand that I struggle to write this brief post. Christmas has been placed on the back burner and I sit here frustrated with my inability to do squat!

OMG Dottie! Yikes! Must you be such a drama queen and do everything so big! I hadn't been keeping up with blogs the last few days and I was so shocked to read this. I'm sure hoping you make a quick and full recovery!
