Now another mystery.....why did it seem like forever waiting for Paula to come visit? My little buddy from Portland arrived on Wednesday and on Thursday we left for Mt.Dora and the big antique extravaganza at Renningers. We walked our feet off but the rewards were worth it! I found lots of treasures that I can't wait to start playing with. Among my favorites were the old love letters from 1866 so beautifully penned and in great condition almost 150 years later, a beautiful leather bound ledger book with fancy penmanship, lots of lace, cabinet photos and watch parts and definitely the best find were the 39 miniature tin types. The whole weekend went too fast. Sunday Norma , Tracy Roos , Paula and I spent the day making art at my house.....you can Google my buddies but not me! hehehe These gals inspire me! Oh my gosh, I just googled myself and something came up from a show I am doing in February in Lake Mary, GA. amazing cyber-space! OK, I am getting side-tracked. Actually, I guess I need to post some pictures but I am in Orlando and my pictures are not on this computer.

Paula and I bought each other PJ's so we could be twins like we always are. I don't know how we started this but here we are in our flamingo flannels.

We were in Orlando for 3 days. Keith is officiating a junior golf tournament and I am getting a few days to work on Christmas cards, knitting and blogging. Our hotel is the pits. Don't ever stay at the Royal Plaza! I won't go into all the things lacking but give me a Hampton Inn next time. The only reason we even considered staying at the Royal was because every single Disney Resort was totally booked for the Thanksgiving holiday. We couldn't even get reservations at our favorite restaurant at the Grand Floridian. We did however get to go to the kitchen of the Victoria and Albert and visit with Chef Scott and he made sure we had extra special service at Citricos. He made us my absolute favorite appetizer...sauteed fois gras. It was incredible!
Yesterday I went to Downtown Disney and did some Christmas shopping before picking up Keith from the tourny to drive home. On the way home we stopped at the Toyota Showroom to start checking out new cars for me since my lease is up in 4 weeks. Well, 2 hours later, having test driven a Camry, I decided to buy a hybrid model! I never thought I would go back to a sedan but this is rather sporty and very slick looking. I hope I am not making a mistake as I have been driving SUV's for years now.
OK....that's it for now.
