Well, today was my class on those little altered change purses, clutch bags and make-up bags that i have been scrounging around thrift shops looking to buy really cheap. I did accumulate quite a collection thanks to friends putting out the word. This class was inspired by a recent publication by Stampington & Company (www.stampington.com) called Haute Handbags, a really wonderful, idea packed special edition. The class was actually a "workshop" where all the gals had their pick of my stash of lace, buttons, silk flowers, costume jewelry, watch faces, miniature frames, vintage images and other little embellishments with which to create a decorated purse. While some of these little pieces of "art" are fit to be used as a purse is intended, the end result is truly shown off best in a shadow box environment. Here are a few of the pieces that were created today in class and believe me, the pictures do not do them justice.

i will post a couple of other pictures tomorrow of those purses showcased in shadow boxes....two really fun recycled pieces of nostalgia.
The class consisted of some really fun gals and they all seemed pleased with their finished products. Some were even asking for a repeat class which made me feel good. Thanks everyone for a fun day and a special thanks to Sharon of Wilde-Ideas.....my all time favorite rubber stamp store... for hosting this class.
